I base my opinion on the stats for weapons off of 3 things;
In real life performance; I mean, stats need to some-what correlate with the gun itself, no one wants to buy a deagle in game and the gun is .2 fire rate with 15 damage.
Shop Value; Why would you buy a gun for $1,200,000 when it is as good as a gun you could buy for $900,000?
Tier level; We have a tier system in place to evaluate an equation of guns to see what level they are on and which guns they are compete-able with.
Since the Tempest is an energy gun (non-existent in real life) my opinion is solely based off of the other two; Tier Level and Shop Price. The "Tempest" was released in a new tier which currently a few guns sit in (God-Tier) which are well into the million dollar price range. I'm loving the gun as is, adding a little spread won't hurt but I could care-less either way. I think it's perfectly in-line and in-balanced with it's tier and price now after the tweaks Ishmael made. I could see it getting a slight spread but I don't see it as a priority.
A weapon is only as good as it's owner. If you slap a tempest into someones hands for example; "MunK3H" the Co-Owner of Gun Point, he won't stand a chance against a good 50% of the server.
Weapons are only as OP as you allow them to be in the hands of an elite. I'm very eager to see someone like Corey or William using the weapon. |
