I noticed this happened commonly on V5 if you logged in after a fresh install and deletion of all local content, then went to a server too quickly from Login before default files were downloaded. If only to add to the list of things you already are being suggested/asked above, I would say if you're doing what I mentioned, try just sitting at the Login screen for a minute or 2 without logging in, log in and sit at the server list for a minute or 2 as well and then try a server again.
