Not sure how that detracts from raiding, it's just more incentive to pk inside the base.

IMO raiding is its own thing, and events should be kept different and separate. However, from your second response it looks like you intend for it only to be used as a gang event? That's cool beans and all kinds of awesome. The once a week thing sounds cool too, gives it some exclusivity and blah.
My 'detraction from raiding' comment was meant to be in regard tonormal, non-event raiding. But again, my misunderstanding lead to this question and has been resolved by your answers. So cooooooool.
