In this new update you’ll be able to customize the appearance of your weapons and armor like never before.
Azerius Corizon, emerging from beyond the ocean, will bring with him a new technology called Transmogrification. He’s heading to the Main Island to set up his special shop and to offer players a unique service -- copying the appearance of one magical item onto another. He only asks for a modest Nihil Coin donation to recoup his costs.
Visiting a Transmogrifier will allow players to change the appearance of an item while retaining its original stats. This means that you can raid in favorite stat set but look like you’re wearing your favorite appearance set. However, not all item pairings are compatible with Transmogrification. You must also be able to wear both items when using this service. Azerius does not have much in the way of ethics, but allowing someone to appear as if they’re equipping unusable items crosses the line. Similarly, he won’t allow you to change weapon or armor types. Azerius will also allow you to transmogrify weapon types as well, say you like the looks of a Tainted Grace sword but want to keep the stats of your DarkFlame Sword, well hey that’s possible now!

- Cloaks/Tails
