Honestly iClassic just turned into a poor-man's 2k1. It's working off the same fundamentals so 2k1 would have made more sense to release over Classic. However originally because of the strict limitations of the iPhone, they had a much smaller idea for iClassic; the overworld was practically just Graal City and Swamp Town and no baddies and such. 2k1 would have been much harder to shrink down.
