The Idea:
--All shops would be Owned by the NPC Server, but players could still work at them (like Speedy Pizza)
--Business Levels
-Each time a player is the top worker for the week, they gain a level with the business.
(of course, this could be made to use an experience system, instead of a top worker of the week system, which is more granular and allows more people share in the profit, but profit share would be lower for everyone.)
-Each level gives the player more percentage of the profits for the week from the business.
-The highest level player in a given business is awarded the owner rank.
(The owner could be given additional rewards or perks.)
(And I guess by extension, that makes the second-place worker Co-Owner)
--Profit Distribution
-All of the money earned by a business in a week is put in the safe and divided amongst the players with levels in the business at the end of the week
-Whatever percentage of the total levels in the business you have, that's what percentage of the profit you will receive.
-As an example:
-There are 10 people that are level 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10
-That's a total of 55 levels.
-The person who is level 10 has 18.18% of the total levels, therefore
receives 18.18% of the profits from the business.
-The person who is level 1 has 1.81% of the total levels, therefore
receives 1.81% of the profits from the business.
--Worker Pay
-Pay is immediate
-Pay does not come from business profits (like Speedy Pizza, it's just spawned.)
------------------------------
This solves the problem of Business Owner drama (Picking a business owner fairly, business owners making too much money, business owners running a business poorly, etc.)
Whoever is the best worker in a business is the owner of the business, and whoever dedicates time and effort to working at a business will receive their fair share of profit.
Also, if an "owner" or someone with levels in a business gets lazy, they risk losing a portion of their share in the profit. |
