DS does have online. Also what's to stop from making a more advanced version of the level editor (minus scripting) and make complex worlds, I mean you could make Graal into a platformer with a rather cheesy story.
Also the beauty of Graal is that you can make multiple genres of game with it. Just have to use that to the advantage.
