I would like to reiterate that only two of those ideas were mine, one of which being the hold the briefcase event, and the other being the marco polo suggestion (but not the hide and seek alongside it), and that these were mostly direct quotes.
As for the just being like russian roulette - yes. but aren't chance and explosive chance the same thing in the end?
The fishing event could be modified with a time limit and the ability to discard the fish you caught, and catch a new one. And something would have to be added so that it's not just random..some skill element.
