This is pretty much the same as Russian Roulette, no? You can host something like this already, but a better system could be made for it.

Sounds like it's just an event with a random chance? Might as well draw for the biggest straw.
On a side note: Fishing is such a blatantly obvious system that should be on a modern server like Era. The fact that there isn't one probably doesn't support the chances of a fishing event being made.

Like the fishing event idea, this one is kind of out there..but I could see it working. Instead of one large jump rope, it might make more sense for each player to be on individual ropes.
Some of your ideas don't really seem too thought out; you could definitely expand them a bit more and get to some really cool ideas going.
