Would be cool to have something done with it, but at the mean time we do know that Tig and his development crew are very busy with other projects and can not dump more resources into creating more content till they are finished with God only what they are doing x__x .... Until something can be done with the island its self, i think it would be easier to simply:

Delete the Ferry to Forest
Switch the level links out so they take you to zormite
And block the door in the tunnel that would take you to forest with rocks
