I'd say mostly because it gives an artist some incentive to work at it, Of course its not a contest but if they feel they're getting a challenge in time and in abstract color use it'll make for interesting pieces of work. Your palette would've been really good if it had more better choices of green... Because it was like two shades of green from an awesome nature portrait.

The reason I didn't put a deadline is for those newcommers. This way, they can make an attempt even if the challenge was opened, like, 2 weeks earlier. They can have a go at it if they like it this way.
