And the theme can be applied to make it contrast less with everything else. The external one is an eyesore because you can't not look at it, it's just another active window to take up space. The scripted one can be given a smooth skin and then shrunk down so it's out of the way. Plus, you can get rid of the ugly PM bubbles and use nice ones from your state (sprites?) image.
