^This is true. Player flags, player weapons, player chests and other general player attributes change on a regular basis and with the frequency of adding and removing of certain flags, weapons and chests a player can go through in a single day, compared to how many times during a day a level has a tile or NPC moved/changed/deleted, the the lost information between the two comes down to the fact that the player, as a single and only entity, will have lost more in say a week.

Not to mention that when you download (or even created) something like a level, the last known "good" version of it would be on the computer (RC Downloads folder) of the last person who edited it.

As for weapons, scripts and NPC scripts and flags, they wouldn't be hard at all to back up automatically even when compiled with player information anyway. Though I've argued that player information is far more important to back up, at the end of the day, automatic backing up could easily handle all of the above areas.
