Why not? Purchasing ammo has never seemed like a necessary obstacle on Era, because the people who use all their ammo are the people who can afford to get more. If anything, constantly having to buy ammo seems like a hassle for newer players.
Face it, no one really runs into the threat of running out of ammo that can't afford to buy more anyway, so I honestly don't see how having infinite ammo (while still having to reload your clip) would have any negative effect.
