GK is bloated with too many options. New players don't know where to go, and old players are yawning, asking "What next?". It's too easy to say "This is not working" or "This is bad"; any dweeb can do that.

We need to get some concepts together for new systems. We need to streamline the options available to players on GK. We need documenting systems and incentives to get players moving in a united direction.

------

A new system would follow suit with Mining, Farming, or even Trading. It has to be something engaging and long-lasting...

One of the really limiting walls within the Graal Online community is everyone has an opinion - but only a rare few are right. The best strategy would be to work together, discussing ideas privately and looking at the long term effect certain strategies may have. When you work closely like this you refine ideas quickly and lose the other more useless opinions.

Some strategies are harsh, and they make lives harder. I had armor and weapon enchanting on GK limited so that, in a few months - maybe next year - the average player will be performing within the designed limitations of GK's original system. Those few who worked hard and benefited from the amazing advantages our great community established over the last few years will see the advantages; they will be stronger than new players, and they will have the influence they worked so hard to gain. Our powerful players - John, Romain, Majin, and even myself - eventually we will leave the community...

When we leave we will be like legends, stronger than any of the contemporary players; these players will be able to enjoy the GK system more than we did because it will be working within the limitations it was designed for. Our powerful items, sold or gifted, will be like relics; so powerful in comparison to the players of new, so rare. Think of those who came before us - those who learned to abuse and and set the groundwork for this destruction we see today. Think of how powerful they were; Wren, Akira, Zoe, and even earlier - Tecumseh, MarkB, Dragon, Ningnong...

Some strategies are harsh, they hurt - but only a little. The long term benefit is huge. What I encourage you to do now is discuss your concepts as groups, consider the long term benefits and costs. Try to think of how, even little benefits, grow into huge problems over time...
