If you're trying to attract iPhone/iPod touch players to the computer version, wouldn't it make more sense to finish the Era that you've been working on for the past months first? You'll wind up setting high standards with this new flashy arcade version, only to then take a dump on new potential customers by welcoming them to a server that is boring and extremely unfriendly to newbies (which in this case is extremely important!)
Also keep in mind that Graal isn't exactly cheap. If I only spent 1 dollar on a game from the app store, I definitely wouldn't go and pay 35+ dollars for the computer version. That's just my opinion of course, but to expect 200 players at peak times because of this release is laughable.
Don't get me wrong, it sounds like an awesome project and I wish I could play it when it's finished (unfortunately I can't since I don't have either an iPhone or an iPod touch) but I just don't think it's going to attract the amount of players as you think it will. |
