The gap needs to be closed in a way that's not essentially a smooth ride to the level cap without help from your fellow man/woman, but at least provides a happy-medium level challenge for those in this "Limbo period" of levelling.

I agree, to kill a Zombie with melee you'd need around 40 - 45 physique level to break their armour class plus at least 50+ armour class yourself so it doesn't kill you easily. With magic around level 15 - 20 and a lot of mana/mana crystals. Wisdom isn't as bad as the other skill areas but only if you have holy word and directors. This is s very big gap from leveling on lords/maps.

I'm guessing there is also a couple of level-link problems in these areas that are messing with Lords as I chased one up and when it changed level, it completely disappeared. Just a guess, I could be wrong.
The thing is, many tell me that these bugs and problems have been reported over and over again, but will only be fixed if a player can gainfully abuse it. Personally, I would like to see things fixed as they're found. Things like the above level mismatch are fairly small and easy to fix and should be a knock-over to resolve.

I think the problems with main.gmap started when the start island was moved to the bottom of the gmap moving many levels along from the normal positions which messed up most of the terrain. Fixing terrain isn't a bad job you just need to know where the terrain is broken.
