As a note, you can use the "removeescapesfromfilename" function to removing the escaping used in filenames (rather than the charMap you have).

removeescapesfromfilename(str) - returns string

echo(removeescapesfromfilename("weapon%045Test.txt "));
outputs: weapon-Test.txt
