I mostly agree, but I think something like
this would work better (where you have to stay at the top of the list to keep a reward; obviously it would be with PKing, not spars, though). There should also be some kind of one-time awards (or even once a week, e.g. 5 EC per award per week) since some people will never be able to get to the top
