the ocean was going to be pretty big this way you had room to use boats. I also wanted to add a town that was built on top of a series of small islands (sort of like hawaii but we're talking the size of a little town, not a huge state) and it's main purpose was going to bring fishing as a new job.
as far as getting to south ridge, I wanted to remove the bridge and instead have an underground tunnel in which you could travel by car, walk, or take a train.
