In theory letting staff choose rather than the players will hopefully result in a more unbiased decision. Less "let's pick this because this is my friend" and more "this is the best design, let's pick this."
And let's face it, there's a much better chance that those on staff have stronger grasp on the principles and elements of design. Then again, maybe not. But as I look at who the people are whining and complaining about not being able to help pick - I think it's a safe assumption. |
