You sure speak a lot for someone who has absolutely no idea how Era is run right now.
I cannot say whether you are right or wrong. No one knows. There is no clear-cut "job description" for a development admin. After being promoted, I was never given a list of duties. My job, the way I see it, is to ensure that development happens on Era. Development, in other words, means content. This includes guns and gangs.
The reason your guns were "nerfed" was to prevent you from selling them for a huge profit before Masa had a chance to tamper with them. I've already told you that Masa will take a second look and change them as he sees fit.
This is honestly not the most demanding job I've ever held, though I do feel like I am responsible for many things. I've made mistakes, especially after being first hired; I openly acknowledge that. Anyone would. I don't think there's a person on the high staff team who can claim never having messed up on Era. However, I do not feel I am making a mistake by what I am doing now for Era. Both Masa and Daz are extremely busy in real life right now, especially Daz (with his child coming). There is nothing wrong, in my views, with stepping up to fill certain parts of their positions while they are away. You certainly would have no problem with me updating one of the gang leader "clones" in the gang bases, would you, regardless of the fact that this would normally be handled by someone else?
Player services, from my understanding, means dealing with players. Jailings, bannings, events, non-dev staff. That's all Squirt's area. Even certain things with gangs or businesses can be placed there, but I do not place the actual development of these gangs or businesses in this category.
As I just said, jailings/bannings are player services. Does this mean I'm going outside of my "duties" when I punish someone for breaking the rules? I don't think so. Aside from being the development administrator, I'm also an administrator. Many of your arguments are like saying that it is not the duty of the manager to ban or jail someone, it should only be the PSA doing this. The manager should manage the staff (or whatever you think a manager should do). This simply isn't true, so stop saying it.
To recap what I already said, I have no job description. I have no clean-cut duties, only some that I have set for myself. There's no point in trying to say what my duties are when I really have none. You need to stop comparing me to former Development Administrators. The staff setup was extremely different then that it is now.
On that note, I will not be making any other posts in this thread. |
