I think thats called reversed psychology :P so the name and the server have absolutely nothing to do with each other, that way you remember them more easily, its pretty unlogical but logical at the same time!

If I called
my server Whahghaghagah, people would play it.
You'll figure why...
A name makes only a small percentage of the server, it is supposed to represent though, but it isn't the server itself.
There's a saying that fits to this I think
Never judge a book by its cover
