No no, I feel the bar is just a little bit of new put on something dated. Just the whole mechanics. It seems pretty much how all the old fishing systems used to be done(fire weapon, bobber flies straight out from the player, wait for bite and hit S). I was just expecting something more... maybe not even structurally, but just more flare visually.
