I thought when you said "different areas will give you different results" it meant that there would be a different variety of fish in different areas. Would have been neat.

I don't think the use of the bar is the problem with it feeling dated, I feel it's probably the overall presentation that's to blame on that part. I know there's very little difference from this and the original fishing rod, but it is a change.
