You would get a staff position if professionally you'd make yourself seem more mature. This is especially vital if it's a social staff position such as Events Team or FAQ that you were after, but it still holds true to a development position. However, in the latter case, you also have to have a substantial amount of experience and/or skill to keep up to Era standards.
