If that is true sounds worth it to me. Just don't keep anything too valuable on you, or always have enough plat to cover death.

But when you start meeting everyone, that's when you start getting PKed. And if you lay low and keep to yourself, you tend to not get very far anyways (in terms of power-playing, but of course I used to have plenty of fun on GK without being at a competitive level). So actually, that extra EXP does make a difference for people like that. (ignore the fact that people like me and you can start GK from scratch and do pretty well with lone-play... we've learned the game.)
