You can do this using up to 3 letters/signs, if you wish to do shading effects.
In my case, I've used 0's, B's and $'s. I've designed a dollar sign out of $'s.

You're blocking? Follow these steps!
1- Make a square out of a sign, like this

2- Find a sign that fits with the Letter/Number or sign chosen. In my case, i'll use a $
Why? Because if I make a line of five 0's, and under it, a line of five 7's, they will fit together

3- Here comes the time to be artisitic. Using the box I made in step 1, I will add $'s here and there, to make a design.

For a more proffessional job, add some of these ''_'' next to every leters used to make a shading to it.

Anyways, I'm not pro at this, but hopefully, we will find some persons better then I do.

For a professional work, using dots spaces etc. Try using a Wordpad or something like that. It helps alot.
