Correct me if I am wrong, but this is my understanding.
The cards changed your appearance but they do nothing with your actual attributes. An example would be if I had a weapon that would shoot in a razor thin, long line. If I shot that weapon and it went across your head you would not be damaged. If I shot your shadow you would be. You don't get damaged by where you look, you get damaged when your shadow is hit.
For these reasons, I think the cards could be viewed as an alternate set of looks. So the clear cut answer is the cards do not change your size. They change your appearance.

If you are a giant and I stab you in the head it won't hurt you because I have to hit your shadow. If I'm all shrunk, you will still have to hit my shadow.
