Oh I'm quite aware of this, but I think I mentioned in my post just above that it was really the monotony of it that bugged me. Perhaps I am viewing PWA incorrectly when I see it as much more than just that. Breaking up the meaningless scuffles of players should not be handled by a PWA, but rather by the server staff. That's what GPs are for As PWA, if I was called in for an issue, I'll tell you right now I would not expect it to be something that the server staff could handle on their own. And if it was, I would tell them how to handle it rather than handling it myself. It may take longer to teach someone how to do something correctly, but once they know how it saves you all future trouble. Theoretically.

Furthermore, and I hope this doesn't sound unprofessional, but I think Classic is a bit of a 'special case,' in that probably the most enjoyable pastime for players to partake in is rulebreaking. This makes it a bit of a joke in terms of policing. Many players are obviously seeking the attention and thrill of being apprehended, so regardless of what is done, they will continue. This feeling of standing in an endless, vicious cycle--one that I, at the level of GP could never hope to fix--was pretty maddening.

Being able to provide help and critique to people is more than I could offer as GP on Classic, and I suppose that is why FAQ appeals to me so much more, and why PWA does as well.

I just have to say that as FAQ, more than half of my job is selling this unimpressive(sorry guys!) server to new people and keeping them there. Sure, I don't have to know as much information as many other servers' FAQ teams do, but answering questions is really only half the job. Perhaps that is only my opinion, but often--and especially on a server like Classic that doesn't have as much going for it as other servers--FAQ are the first people newbies get to know, and that can affect whether or not they'll stick around and make friends quite a bit.
