Ziro_of_the_Turks will become famous soon enough
Let's flash back to what Graal used to originally be about:

1. Go questing (with a crappy story about collecting some graals, which never really got too popular)
2. Get strong (more hearts, better NPCW's)
3. Form groups of friends
4. Go around and PK people
5. Sit around and chat

That's sort of the order that things happen too. Ideally, on Graal, you're supposed to be in an addictive state of #'s 4 and 5. And you're happy. This is no longer true.

Now we're doing the #6 that shouldn't even exist:
6. Idle in common-room and do... mostly nothing.

Thus, Graal Kingdom currently fails.
The goal is:
Have most people doing #4 and #5, and make it so #'s 1-3 will last longer, and
#1 will occassionaly reoccur with some new content.

GK does NOT fail due to lack of willing developers as Bjorn say.
GK does NOT fail due to lack of friendly-play as Ravenblade implies.
GK does NOT fail due to USD'ing as some people say.

GK DOES fail because of staff (GraalOnline and GK) having poor communication skills, and sometimes lowering themselves to the level of forum-flaming and trolling (the only person who I have NOT caught making this mistake is Stefan... and people like Bell who have nothing to do with GK anyways)

GK DOES fail because of "bugs" being fixed when it's too late. (if many people benefit from something like the party bug, then "fixing" it just makes things worse...unless you're going to "fix" those people as well. If not, it's better to just fairly let everyone benefit from the bug. Otherwise, in our current state, we might as well say "First 100 to find a bug get a priceless prize!")

GK DOES fail because of kingdoms being improperly ran (kingdoms are the backbone of our community... or ideally, they are)

GK DOES fail because after a certain point, leveling skills becomes pointless and nearly possible (even though you'll see plenty of people with much higher skill levels attained through a bug)

That's not a complete list of why GK does or doesn't fail. And now I'm just tired of typing this.

Edit: The real reason GK fails is because of the players. Noone has enough patience to play this crappy game with me. So therefore I'm the only one playing. So now it's time for the people in charge to try Plan B: Make the game better.
