The reason I'm saying no, is because for upgraded ships you will need more materials. Iron, cloth ect. People won't get those just to have a better ship that will get sunk or stolen.

I like ships the way they are now because it's skill that wins the battle and not the perks of the ship. And anyway. I don't see how making certain ships faster and giving them more hp will improve them either. It will still ammount to skill since if your good enough you can defeat an opponent without being hit.

And ships with 2 cannons on one side.. The style of battle I use (and a lot of others too) will make having 2 cannons on the side useless since one of them will always miss. The only way they will hit is if you are directly beside your opponents ships which will mean you are getting fired up too. And in a battle the most import is protecting yourself before damaging your opponent.
