Not quite sure that a "horid remdition" is, but again you're taking things quite literal and to the extreme.
As you can see my account name is Rufus, when I was 11 (or so) I was a Final Fantasy VII fanatic, joined as Rufus and when people were making servers I came up with a
great idea of making a Final Fantasy VII one. This liking of Final Fantasy VII did not mean I lived in Final Fantasy VII, it didn't mean I used Materia marbles, tried to call Summons and walked around with a big sword trying to kill people. I fail to see how if someone likes something and "lives" something online, that can somehow "distort reality" so they're living it offline too.

You're using the term "joke" in a different way. Sometimes jokes are funny, the server idea is funny, the server idea is a joke idea, not something to be taken seriously..
