OK, said tabs are at the top..say...Right next to the normal GUI...When something new hits, that said tab flashes from normal to red, and back till the user clicks on it...when they click, a drop down appears showing little message titles...click a title, and a box comes up, displaying the message.

That's good ... except only some tabs should flash. Kingdom news, and maybe you can choose which ones to flash.
