Look, theres certain reasons that hide armor might be good, like for those of us that want that D&D effect style of "Armor Skin" which also means being a bit more resilient to injuries "without armor", while wearing armor thats not visible to give this effect, basically.
Otherwise, I really don't see the reason on why its a bad idea, where is it that it states we should go and be all "LETS GO PKZ! LULZ!"? Eh?
In effect, without hide armor, we can be doing a double bladed sword on this topic of:
A) Hindering possible additions to the Roleplay bits of the server.
B) Influencing more PKing on the server.
While B is less likely, A is the most serious of the two, so we must tread lightly regarding the armor bit.
Another reason might be because of how ugly some of the armors are...PMoB, PMoP are examples...PMoB is a unsightly shade of pink, and the PMoP is just a dead ugly shade of bright blue, so I can see why people want the hide feature so badly, but I just don't see the reason that staff want to not bring it in.
Sure theres the possibility of increased PK, but theres the Roleplayers characters that also have to be taken into consideration...Like, Does it benefit their character?
The point I'm trying to make is, we shouldn't jump to conclusions regarding ideas, rather we should tread lightly regarding it, but at the same time, as I said, not jump to conclusions regarding how the idea will affect things until we actually know how it will do so.
I'm sorry if you don't see it the way I do, but the fact is, it is a role play server, and therefore we need the options to further expand the roleplay, not the rejection of ideas that can expand upon the roleplay. If we arn't going to expand the options, then we might as well and write off the server for the junk heap.
