I think this is a great idea, too many playerworlds these days are all about hack and slash/leveling up and thats about it. The gameplay dries up pretty quickly. If you could create a dynamic playerworld with constantly evolving quests and puzzles, it could hold the attention of players for a long time.
As for what Ryu said about Twilight Princess, its pretty irrelevant. As Thrash said this is an MMORPG not a single player console game, and it seems he misread your post and thought your playerworld would actually be Zelda, as opposed to a world filled with things for a player to actually do and work towards.
