Okay thanks for the advice. Glad we could clear up the misunderstanding.
I guess I'm just excited about my project (as most anyone would be about their own server) so I'm sure I get out of hand when I talk about how great it will be.
But there isn't really any debate about past management. I mean how can anyone defend not being a bad past manager when the server has all but died? I'm sure we all have our excuses, some more believable than others, but still excuses nonetheless.
I mean my entire excuse was that I did not have full control over the direction of the server which caused me to just give up on management.
I can understand your concern about corrupt staff. I think a solution would be to keep staff off of the public server and allow them to use a private dev server to do all of their work. That is pretty much my plan. Even if I have to end up paying for the dev server myself. |
