I'll definitely work on the trunk. I think it looks too long because it lacks better shading... because it really isn't too long I don't think. I also think I should darken the legs more as they are under the trunk/head... and about the legs being too close together, actually it's how elephant's legs are. It just seems like every time someone has drawn an elephant for Graal, they draw the legs really far apart. It's not a car, it's an animal, lol.
Oh and the finished product will have a decent shadow under it, the trunk will animate, the head will move, etc... so I think it will look a lot better in motion.
