Val did have the first proper leveling system where you up your own stats and such, like another MMORPG that starts with an R and ends up narok.

Providence was P2P all through out it's lifetime. Ganis, lights, and so on
were illegal, but there was nothing to prevent the servers from using them. As far as I can tell, nobody cared; Valikorlia used lights and ganis.
