Go to your Graal folder (don't open it), right click on it, and click Properties. There is a box on the bottom that says "Read-Only." Make sure the box is NOT checked. If it is, uncheck it and click OK. Another box will pop up asking you how to apply the changes. Choose "Apply changes to this folder, subfolders and files."

My Graal was going slow as well and I was wondering what my problem was, but this somewhat fixed it, so thank you.
One thing though, whenever I open another window within Graal itself, it goes faster than when I don't have one opened. Can someone explain this? I don't want to have to re-install Graal and have to lose my pms and stuff.
