Teaching Spells?
|
I was just reading (for a class, I'm don't read this stuff for fun) about the Trobriand tribe of Papua New Guinea, and I had a pretty nifty idea that will almost certainly never be implemented!
How about a system where players can teach other players spells? As opposed to the boring old "sit around and spawn spells for hours until I hit the spell I want/need". It could do some neat things like introduce useless items into the economy, for example, pearls could be used as a sort of "medium" item that you need to place down for the spell to be casted or something, sort of like dias with prepping. It could increase RP, in terms of within kingdoms, high level mages can take younger mages on as apprentices and work with them and teach them the spells they need to be helpful to the kingdom.
It could also use cauldrons and certain items, a scroll perhaps to make it work, etc. Just could be a fun way to increase the popularity of mages on kingdoms and increase the RP a bit. |
