Jesus, you played that too Huwa?
I adored that game with every fibre of my being. I still do, as it's the first FPS I ever played. I think I was 7 when I really got into it.
I agree though, the atmosphere in that level is bonesplittingly lonely. If zone was like that, it'd make it so much interesting. A few problems:
Zone lacks environment.
Zone lacks atmosphere.
Zone lacks suspense.
All three of the above are needed in a shooting game of any kind. Battlefront II, and Battlefield II both have these aspects. WHAM, instantly popular game with a massive online base. I could chew up some environmental effects from around the place (i live near a huge forest, always raining or windy) and possibly add some crap onto existing levels (thank era for that - i've been learning ****loads of LAT stuff from there).
Zone needs a major overhaul as far as atmospheric and environmental settings go. |
