Anyway, the name Crescent Pirates implies that you are, in fact, pirates.
I don't know about you, but I don't remember any tales of Mr. Blackbeard, CEO of Jolly Roger Inc. If you're going to call yourself pirates, you should at least make an effort to act like them. But remember that not all pirates had peg legs and eyepatches, only the wounded ones. Captain Hook had a hook for a hand because he lost it, not because he thought it would look cool.
Pirates work for money. It wouldn't be out of the ordinary for a pirate to damn his crewmates and sabotage the ship if he could make it out alive and reap a hefty reward from it. Of course, surviving crewmates would more than likely give him something to remember them by if they ever saw him again. (Which would more than likely be the last time he saw anything.)
