Wee! I'm in Washington D.C. For a couple weeks. I don't know -- I might be hanging about in New York City for a couple days? In the meantime, I'll be going around places all over this region -- Not to far none-the-less.
I just woke up from a rather long sleep. It took 17 hours for us to drive here (We were in the car, nonstop). I hadn't slept durring the whole ride, but when I arrived, at 11 AM, we all ended up crashing in our beds. I woke up only several hours after, to be greated by their roommate, coming from work. Then, I went around, watched on of the crappiest movies ever ("One of Them"), then I went about sleeping some more, up untill 7 AM. I think I've been both recuperating from the ride, and from the party I had at my house 2 days ago. There wasn't much time that I could have really been free from all.
Anyhow... I'm currently having a cultural shock! I can't really stop reminding myself to speak in English with these people, and now, if they have trouble understanding me in Quebec with my french accent, I'm now in English with a french accent -- A lot harder to understand me, I do presume.
Anyhow... I have three weeks over here. I'm busy most of the weekends, such as for July 4th, and then amusement parks, and then the beach and whatnot. I'm having relitively a good time, but I haven't really been out the apartment -- It's hot and sticky/humid. Now used to this weather up in Canada. If you live nearby, perhaps I could talk to any of you people in person! It would have a change of mind for once.
Enjoy. |
