You must not only have your mind set on learning the specific programming language, or type of code but you must also have to brain capacity to do so. If you cannot fully understand, do not try javascript or php or any language because that is used as a basis of web page design. Although graal script is getting a bit harder, it still remains to be a basis of harder languages and is as basic as you can get. I recommend you make sure you fully understand arithmetic, trig, and have the capacity to take on another language.

Although most people don't seem to think so, I consider a programming language to be thought of as a foreign language. You cannot just start French, Spanish, and Latin all at the same time, unless your exceptionally smart. You need to start with one, and then once you have mastered that language move onto the next one. As I recall I took Spanish, then French and Latin last, to ensure I made it as easy for myself as possible and to make sure I covered all I needed to know in high school.
