I have no problem with Rping mixed races. But like you said, you have to do it well. If you can't RP it well, you should stick to a human. Gryffon, as a character, has evolved. At one time he was a half demon who had somehow (details then unclear) redeemed himself and became a Priest of Mytri. Over time, Demons evolved into an original race, the Daveons, half-men half-cultures that fested on Carrion, I actually have a summary of the full story of Gryffon...My character is not omni-powerful, his ability to envoke Mytri's powers has been fading since 2k2 started for story reasons, and besides, the very nature of Mytri magic relies on someone HEARING you. It's pretty bad that someone can stop you just by covering their ears
It's all about balance. Sure, a demon/angel may not be original, but like I did, it overtime evolves and becomes something different.
