Assuming that OpenGL and D3D are supported on your computer, I'm guessing Light Effects will always be on in v3 o.o

But thanks, I didn't know lighteffectsenabled was a flag.

Yeah, forgot about layers and zoom... and the pallete also, for custom colors... I think the most useful tool though is the magic wand that lets you pick colors of the same type so you can easily...

I make all my graphics in PhotoImpact, which is actually a photoshop like program.. but you can turn down the anti-aliasing to make it draw like MS paint. It has all these cool options and brushes...
