Here, the first Beta of the fighting system of Auroria 2 aka Xenon, soon to be up on fightsys.graal. The first graphical thingys have been added, the tackle thingy is only one attack of many, it'll give new Spells and weapons if u win against a enemy...but we still need graphics...if u're interested, come to Auroria and pm my rc ;)

When the bomb hit the NPC no HP went down.... >.< Does it even hurt enemies yet? Not to mentions does this pause you?

lol u can fail with attacks, that makes it more real and no it doesn't pause u. but Players can't hit u in a fight

Would this be something akin to Pokémon fighting?

Nope, its like Final Fantasy the graphics are made with paint for now, how i said, just testing and the enemy does only have 3 attacks for now ;)

It would be fairly cool but the furby ruins it all. If you can come up with somthing original then I would support that.

What do you get after the end of each battle? Is there an exp system?

yes u get more hp u can get as many hp as u want 6 hp = 3 fullhearts
500 hp = 250 fullhearts.
You also get new weapons like better swords items like healing things new spells and EXP to get a level up (need one level up for more hp)

I don't think you can have 250 hearts. I think the limit is 25 but I might me wrong.

Yes, we rescripted it, hearts wont exist on Auroria anymore ;) ask Stefan, u can do this

Nils can I be honest.....your battle system isnt really like ff..if it was itll be on a side view instead right?......to me your battle system is similar to Chrono Trigger...oh and btw instead of just gaining hp in a battle...why not lvl up =D......cause then the player gets more interest cause he can gain more lvls and be strong lol

ahhhh no my idea for a batlle menu for an RPG battle has been taken, NOOOOOO. Meh im making one like FF7s so it doesnt mater. Good luck with it though

HOLY BIZSHNITZ!!!!.....he just put the new tiles on one of the levels I made and it looks friggen awesome!!!!.....um shadrock is there a difference between grass sand tiles and grass hole tiles?

I never could figure out how to replace hearts, disabledefmovement still enables pain...i guess you could use 100 ap, or actions, but tahts just ghetto-ghey

No, it can't be like Chrono Trigger because it doesn't have Roly Poly's. :rolleyes: When you get right down to it, the layout of the fight screen doesn't really matter (although it helps if it looks nice). If it uses something like ATB, then it's like Final Fantasy... if it uses something like ATB but doesn't go to a separate level for fights (which is probably the easiest system to script), then it'll be like Chrono Trigger. But if it doesn't use levels, it's nothing like Chrono Trigger, or Final Fantasy, or any menu-based RPG I've ever played. O_o

I personally don't like the Pokemon-style "you attack and then I attack you, lather-rinse-repeat" system. I prefer FF-style combat, which allows for many more intricacies (like haste, stoning, once-per-battle summonings, etc). I'm hoping this server will gravitate towards FF-style. :D

I'm not sure probably it's been updated in graal 2k1 version
