graal,a one man show,why??
any pay to play game owes it to its subscribers a person or persons on staff 24/7 to fix problems that may arise.just because stefan is on vacation or sleeping or whatever (which he is surely entitled to)does this mean that we have to wait for his return to fix a problem?when you sign up and pay to play graal you read a lengthly paragraph about what graal expects from you, where is it written about what you can expect from graal?we as consumers should get the support needed to keep this game running smoothly.
|
Yeah fix the damn npc server
|
people need to realize that Stefan is human, he has a life, he is intiteld (sp?) to a vacation after working his ass off for who? the little beggers of graal who nag at him 24/7, he isn't god.

He should have a backup NPC Server or something incase it goes out.
|
We're talking about having other people around who can fix it, Nastazio, not to have Stefan around all the time. Because the way things are now, he is the only one who is around who can fix the NPC Server. We need other people who can do that.
|
=/ the probem is that most of the players on graal do not know how to handle staff positions, and they cannot be trusted with rcs and that amout of power, =/

What he could do is write some program to detect when the npcserver goes down and start it back up.

Nastazio...
Don't you get it? You don't charge people for a game service and not provide that service. It is Stefan's fault if something goes wrong because:
- It is HIS game - He is asking us to PAY for a SERVICE and by PAYing he MUST provide that SERVICE to those who PAY. - When problems arise and we are not getting the SERVICE we have PAYED for then he is not doing his job. In other words, if we're going to pay for an online game, if there's any problems they must be fixed since we're paying. If it was some non-p2p server then tehy wouldn't have that big of an obligation to fix things. They'd only have to do it if they wanted a good name. But with P2P we're promised better features and gameplay and by things failing like the NPCSERVER we're not getting better gameplay. Stefan should make sure things like this don't happen or he shouldn't promise us things that he can't provide. |
I wish unixmad could be on more when Stefan is gone.
|
you need to get adults working here, the problem is that no one will work here with people mass pming crap about guilds, fake money, bomy selling hats and other crap.
|
i am the worst NPC Scripter in the worl, but i know how to reset the server, and start everything back up, i was NPC Admin on Cite Perdu for a while.

Ugh, I get kind of sick of it. |
Oh shut up he gets paid to make Graal better. Its not like he does it for free. And from the usual updates it doesnt look like he does much at all.

Wait, didn't you pay for access to the server? Not for the things on the server. God, i look at things too much like a lawyer. I gotta stop doin that.

"This is how you make money, there are these ways, it costs this much, here's some money to start out so it's not so hard for you PEOPLE WHO ARE JUST STARTING OUT, have fun." And you know how they're always happy to answer your questions and solve your problems. I can't believe it. ::ending sarcasm in case you didn't notice:: God shut up. Staff shouldn't complain at all. If you don't like your job don't do it. FAQs answer questions. Deal with it. People ask stupid questions sometimes. Some people may be new to the game, therefore you should have some sort of intro INSIDE the game (seeing as most people dont go through training and that the training mode is insufficient anyways to keep people from being called NOOB when they start out) that tells people all the things they'll need to know. If anything is more annoying than noobs asking questions, its complaining staff. |
Stefan gets paid to make Graal better ask him. He has said it plenty of times. And im not syaing he only gets money from account bought Cyberjeur or some company pays him

|
unixmad just needs to do more, that is all. if he would just realize that stefan cant do everything in-game, then it would all be fine. all unixmad has to do is click one button and the server could be up again..
|
We pay for something we should expect higher quality service and some professionalism
But i dont care really, once word gets out how much the staff sux, P2P is going to die...Stefan, people that make tags that say "coder" (loriel) and people who wear *** khakis and threaten to sue anyone who steals zelda's (oops, graals) graphics every 5 min. (unixmad) are not model staff... My opinion, sorry if I was too lazy to use the shift key or spell check anything. Bye Folks... |

people are signing up, money is taken, but they arent getting their accounts, sheesh! |
Stefan needs to hire someone he knows well and trusts, and have access to these things; maybe not a fulltime job but it would be nice to have someone like Stefan on who could make the kind of decisions Stefan would or could.
