delete light2.png so it'll force redownload?
*shrugs* |
I use an ATI card in each of my comps and can't ever see the lighting effects. not even the night/day effects.
|
Simple Solution. Get a nice new card liek a Riva TNT2. STEAR CLEAR OF ANY CARDS THAT START WITH VooDoo!!
|
That happen to me...I just restarted my computer and it worked fine again.
|
i use a godlike Voodoo-4-4500 which runs at 70fps on a 500 celeron during Counter-strike, i cannot see light effects or nothing... :(

I GOT TNT2 too!

Hi, stefan will not fix your little individual problems...hell, I havent been able to see lighting effects since i got my comp and i've never complained...Sure, I've complained that stefan screwed over my comp by telling me to update my drivers...sure, i've complained that stefan has taken 2 weeks of my life because of that....hell, i've even complained that stefan never upgraded my friend's account (a problem more common than lighting effect problems). But no, now drop dead...

Did she ask for his help?
|
maybe not, but i needed to get angry at someone
|
I've never had a problem like that. However, upon first discovering them, I thought that light effects were ugly and overused, so I turned them off.

Graal is a 2D game, that's why the old voodoo cards
cannot be supported (no real window mode, no windows stuff in fullscreen, everything needs to be in small quadratic images in the video memory) New ATI cards should work, we have tested it with ATI cards before Graal2001 was released. Is that strange thing just happen since august? May be there is a problem with the video memory (you see that there are other graphics on the position where normally lights2.png should appear) |
I have a Voodoo3 2000 PCI card, that isn't old is it? Why can't I see these lights?
|
Stefan,
Try using OpenGL or Glide. 3dfx Voodoo cards tend to support them a lot better than DirectX. Dunno why. |
